(see below for english)

Beijos,

Carlos

It is funny how technology can bring people closer bur also separate them. I miss my friends in Hong Kong. I almost never receive news from anyboday, only few scraps and comments on my facebook. A lot of them moved, others are still there, but we are slowly loosing touch, and maybe technology has to do with that. Nowadays it is easier to send an SMS than to give a call, exchange a nice conversation, laugh, feel the nice sensation to care about someone and to discover new things we have in common. Things that make us friends. A scrap or chat on skype is to keep in touch.

Many people nowadays keep in touch with their friends only with facebook. With a simple little 'hey how are you?" or "nice picture", we have this wrong feeling that we are still living together, but we are not. This is the same when we talk with someone and that person tells you "say hello to him for me". If you want to know how that person is, or that you though about him, it should be easier to call him directly, have a nice chat, spend 5 minutes of our precious time. And no matter how long we could spend, it is never enough. Everything is too superficial. The world is superficial, too fast. We keep looking for quantity and not quality. But the truth is,n it is very difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship, and I am also guilty in not trying harder, also hiding behind my disease to allow me to get lazy.

So if you think I am right, take your phone and call a friend you haven't talekd to for a while and that you miss. This person will surely be very happy. Friendship needs to be cultivated, with little things.

Love,

Carlos.
